A Letter Across Mountains and Seas: Uganda's Invitation to a Chinese Philanthropist

Today, Mr. Tang Lin received an official invitation from the distant African country—the Republic of Uganda:

“We recognize your outstanding contributions to rural education and your extensive charitable work supporting disadvantaged students in remote areas of China, including your repeated efforts in higher education development in regions such as Tibet.”
“Your dedication to children’s welfare and education deeply resonates with our national goal of strengthening basic education—especially in the field of educational development.”
“In coordination with local primary schools across districts, we warmly welcome your participation in community-based educational activities, school visits, motivational engagement with students, and potential philanthropic collaboration.”
“We believe your presence will not only inspire Ugandan children and educators, but also serve as a valuable bridge of friendship between the peoples of China and Uganda.”

To Mr. Tang Lin, to Yingming, and to the broader development of grassroots charitable work in China, this invitation holds profound significance. No matter how many obstacles lie ahead, I will take this step forward.

We must prove through action: the “shared future for humanity” is not just a slogan. Philanthropy is the greatest intersection of universal human values.
